Snow

I can't say for sure, but I think I liked snow as a child. Somewhere along the line I began to hate the snow and the cold weather. I know I have always preferred the warm sun and laying out getting a tan, but I'm not sure where my strong dislike of snow came from. I think I might like the snow if it wasn't cold. I hate being cold.

My office is cold. I wear long sleeves and multiple layers just to try and stay warm. It doesn't work. The menopausal lady across the wall from me likes it cold, thus we all must suffer.

The DH and I were remembering our honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico. It was warm there; I wish we could go back. Now, right now. I wish I could be there right now in the warm sun drinking my drink of choice. Oh how I miss the sun.

This warm, bright fabric makes me feel a little better!

The weather forecast is calling for a lot of snow over the next 3 days. They are talking about getting up to 16". Really? Of course it would snow that much because it's my life.

Fridays

Fridays seem like never ending days. I am always super busy at work and have a whole to-do list when I get home. This Friday is no different. A couple of meetings, plus a few other deadlines at work. Luckily, the DH on his way to check out the dirt bike (this one is $100 cheaper!) stopped to have lunch with me. It was a nice break to my usual Friday routine.

Tonight is girls night. Too bad it isn't with grown up girls (I'm missing the Pampered Chef party at my sister's house), but it is with my 2 little girls. We are having a pizza party (ok so we are just eating pizza but it sounds better to say it's a pizza party) and then we are painting our fingernails. Being girly, just me and my girls. So that's my plan for Friday ... stay at home with my kids instead of going out with the grown up girls but that's ok because it's my life.

What would you do with ...

... $750 dollars?
 That's the question I find myself asking. Here's what I would do
* use it as a down payment on a new car
* redecorate the kitchen, bathrooms and entryway
* put it towards A's $1500 kindergarten tuition cost
* go on vacation
* shopping spree (only in my dreams!)

Here's what my DH wants to do -- buy a dirt bike!

Seriously? A dirt bike? And he thinks this is a totally acceptable way to spend $750! Maybe it is the mom and frugal wanna-be in me, but I just don't get it. I probably will never get it, but it's my life.
